Média: Polyurethane Elastomere, Epoxy Resin, Discarded French Fry Carton
Dimension: 25cm x 25cm
Year: 2023
This artwork interrogates our obsessive consumer culture through a simple yet charged symbol: a discarded French fry carton placed against a pristine, bright yellow field. By isolating waste within a clean, carefully controlled visual space, the piece highlights the tension between polished branding and the physical reality of consumption. In line with my artistic approach, the object is not represented symbolically but presented as itself, carrying the marks of use, neglect, and abandonment. The contrast between the immaculate background and the soiled contents invites reflection on how everyday objects absorb human behavior, energy, and intention, questioning how value, cleanliness, and meaning are constructed in an urban, consumption-driven environment.
